Mandatory Inspections: Electrical Safety, High-Voltage Equipment, and Lightning ProtectionThe inspection of electrical safety, high-voltage equipment, and lightning protection are legally prescribed, mandatory tasks. |
ESCI – Electrical Safety Standard Inspection
The Electrical Safety Standard Inspection is a review of electrical equipment to determine whether the unit fully meets the criteria set by standards or technical specifications. This inspection is legally mandated and must be performed:
- when the equipment is put into operation,
- periodically, and
- after any major servicing.
HV (High Voltage) Equipment Inspection, i.e. fire safety review
During the inspection of high-voltage equipment, our expert examines the functionality of the electrical network and searches for potential faults using appropriate measuring instruments. The inspection is conducted to prevent electrical fires, as detecting and repairing faults in time can help avoid much larger disasters.
The frequency of the inspection is determined based on the risk classification outlined in the fire safety regulations:
- “VL” (Very Low Risk)
- “LR” (Low Risk)
- “MR” (Medium Risk)
- “HR” (High Risk)
While for the first three categories, inspections are required every 6 years, for the “HR” class, it is mandatory every 3 years.
Lightning Protection Inspection
The inspection of a building’s lightning protection system is a crucial aspect starting from the design phase, but periodic checks later on can also prevent fire damage caused by lightning strikes.
The ProEhs team provides a comprehensive service for mandatory inspections, so you can confidently entrust our team with the tasks!
